Illumination time is dusk to dawn and is fully automated via a photocell ( light sensor). The innovative and latest technology is employed to ensure optimum reliability and performance. The solar street light head attaches to the support arm, which fixes to street light pole. The street light pole has an integral base which can be bolted directly to a level, solid surface. What’s more, a storage battery box is supplied to facilitate the rechargeable batteries.
Solar light must be installed in a sunny location where it can receive maximum sunlight during daytime hours. Any cover that shades the solar panel will affect its ability to absorb sunlight and decrease the amount of brightness and duration of the led lights and its function will be decreased. The selected location should not be near a night time light source such as a porch light, street light etc as these lights might prevent the solar rope light from automatically turning on.
There are also some notes for you to pay attention. Charge battery for at least 8 hours before first use. Turn power switch to the ON position and the selection switch to the AUTO position when first activated. The unit will not function if MODE is selected when first activated. Be sure that battery polarity and voltage are correct ( wrong polarity is dangerous). Do not dispose of old batteries, they should be recycled. Hope this passage can help you to some degree.
